Enrolment for Australian students at WestMAC can be completed by following these steps:
Parents are invited to register their child's place at WestMAC by completing the step-by-step process online and providing the child’s Birth Certificate/Australian Citizenship. A non-refundable enrolment registration fee of $225 is payable online for each student. A family deposit of $300 is also payable prior to your first child’s commencement date and is fully-refundable when your last child leaves the College.
Parents /guardians are required to acknowledge that they have read and accepted the Enrolment Policy, Privacy Policy and Fees Policy when registering their child with the College.
Please note: WestMAC is a non-selective school and accepts enrolments in chronological order. If a waitlist applies, consideration is given to siblings, children of staff members, Defence families and alumni.
Approximately 12 to 18 months prior to the proposed date of entry, parents are invited by email to proceed with their child’s enrolment. At this stage you will be required to provide additional documentation including:
Students entering Years 2 to 12 are required to undertake online academic testing, prior to attending an interview with the Head of School. Students entering Prep and Year 1 are required to complete a readiness interview. The results of these assessments, along with school reports and any specialist assessments, further informs the enrolment process.
Within three months of enrolling your child, the sub-school will contact you to arrange an interview with the Head of School. An interview with the Head of School is an essential part of the process. At the end of the interview, the Head of School will advise if an offer will be recommended to the Principal. Parents and students are required to acknowledge that they have read and accepted the Code of Behaviour and the Parent College / College Contract at the interview.
A letter of offer will be issued following the interview.
Parents and incoming students commencing at the beginning of the next school year will be invited to attend an orientation ‘New Students’ Day’ in December before the entry year.
